alphabet soup task 2: design principles.


Problem analysis- rational. 

BRIEF: (what is the problem you intend to solve?)
To create a 26 letter + 6 glyph letterform series based upon, and reflecting a partner's personality.

WHO NEEDS TO KNOW? (Who is your audience? Be concise.)
The partner of whom the work is inspired by
The audience- must sucessfully communicate your intensions and the partner's personality.

WHAT DO THEY NEED TO KNOW? (Be clear and specific.)
They need to know why the decisions you have made are relevant to their personality and self (partner).

WHY DO THEY NEED TO KNOW? (The concept for your problem.)
Answering the brief- why you have chosen particular elements within your design.

WHAT WILL THEY RESPOND TO? (How will they connect/understand the outcome?)
A clear, legible, readable typeface that visually communicates and reflects their personality.

WHAT RESEARCH IS REQUIRED? (What do you need to know in order to complete this brief to the fullest potential?)
PRIMARY: Discussions with partner- original questionnaire and conversation.
SECONDARY: Research, manipulate and develop fonts to create my own series.
