Sketches and design drawings from the task assigned by Fred on Tuesday's workshop session that I unfortunately missed, but was lucky enough to get notes from friends and fellow BAGDers about in preparation for working with the initial designs for tomorrow's session (I would have liked to have had the sheets ready before now but, naturally, I would run out of pens which would need to be replaced to finish the colouring- standard day).
In this task we positioned our five key frames in our initial sequences on a 60cm line- dividing in 0.5 minute sections from 00:00-05:00 seconds (the duration of each of the short animations) and placed out key frames accordingly. It was certainly interesting to see where the variations lied with the importantce of the key frames within my sequence, and to understand the importance of visual variations- in a couple of my sequences I felt a few more key frames were ideally needed, so it was very important to portray the transistion of movement as effectively as possible- some of the motion pieces very steady (such as the 'stretch' example, bottom row) and some increasingly rapid- like the 'float' sequence on the third row down.
Can't wait to get started to apply these into the After Effects software and to start experimenting in preparation for the final stages of the 'Silent Movie' project outcomes.
