Final Designs: Collection 100.

Several of my final designs- complete with colour, ready for print in 100mmx100mm format.

My designs, now alphabetically ordered aligned together in pairs of two, measuring 100mmx200mm for print, with a central gutter to fold for the concertina book binding format.

However, after test printing a few of my designs, I really felt that they were just too bland and plain- the colour dull and not particularly eye- catching. Therefore, I decided to overlay a colour tint over the top of they grey patterned background, a purple tint at 40% opacity...

Although not particularly a conventional colour for men, I wanted to add a sense of importance and almost a level of regality- a colour of which purple is historical associated- and when printed it looked far more luxurious and suited for the text colour and colours used in the illustrations.

I decided to follow through this design onto the front cover of my booklets for continuity- once again applying the purple tint to the patterned background, with frame and combination of fonts.

...My final designs, now, with my only alteration being that the portraits have now been give a silver oval frame- far more complimentary to the purple, lifting the richness of the colour as oppossed to dulling it with the dark black frame....

 ...A few more designs...
