Concept Rationale//"WHY?" Considerations.

Brainstorming ideas for a potential audience proposal in my concept rationale for the 'Design Production for Print' module (Good Is.... THE FILMS OF WES ANDERSON). Researching particular facts and statistical data to back-up my opinions.

Selected online trivia, links show sources of information.

WHY IS WES GOOD?...
(Potential ideas fitting to my theme/Wes Anderson's films)

1// Martin Scorsese is a big fan of his movies, even choosing him as the next Martin Scorsese in an Esquire magazine article.

2// The titlecards are always in the font: Futura Bold, most commonly in yellow color.

3// Makes obsessive and comedic use of "rostrum camera" insert shots, foregrounding the minutiae of books and other documents.

4// Movies often focus around a broken or unorthodox family circle

5// His soundtracks feature folk and early rock music, in particular classic British rock.

6// Unique ways of introducing a large cast of characters

7// He is also known for working with many of the same actors and crew on varying projects.

8// At least one of his characters is usually a grown man seeking the approval of a parent or parent figure.

9// Wrote Bottle Rocket (1996), Rushmore (1998) and The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) with Owen Wilson, whose brother, Luke Wilson, appears in all three movies.

10//  Likes to shoot with extremely wide-angle anamorphic lenses that exhibit considerable barrel distortion.

I will now go on to apply the choices (5/10) which I deem most fitting (highlighted in bold) to my whole concept rationale, to be posted on this blog as soon as possible.
