Design Production for Print//Mailshot Box.

Creating the presentation mailshot box for ticket, booklet information and map for potential audience members and visitors to the Wes Anderson film festival. Having designed my slip cover wallet for the box, I wanted to remain visually consistent, so decided to keep the colour scheme the same.
Originally, and in my past design development drawings, I had considered making cut-out acetate windows (As can be seen on the blue net) to represent film reels (see top two photographs above) but found that this made the designs a little too cluttered and busy. Instead, I repeated the cut sides to visually, yet subtly represent the ticket shape.

Going on to print out both the box and slip cover wallet design, I was happy with the outcome- though, of course a few tweaks need to be made.
The colour scheme works well- tints seem to be right, and the centralised type on the box works well- making it more of a "feature"- however, the point size of the text needs to be decreased slightly so that none of the text is visible when the slip cover is placed over it- also need to increase the length of the slip cover by about 10mm to ensure that it fits tightly, but not damaging the box in any way.
And perhaps for the first time (ever!) I actually like the plain white on the inside of the box- works well with the type and logo on the back of the box- any other detail might be too much, and detract from the contents inside.
