As the day of our progress crit approaches, (Friday) I have had a small brainstorming session. Due to the structure of our timetables with other lessons, such as workshops and visual language, it is not always easy to remain in constant contact with other group members, though we constantly keep in contact through facebook messaging- good old modern tech! Though not as formal as we would probably like, it is fast-paced and keeps us constantly updated. Great for generating ideas.
Starting to consider how to apply or ideas into graphic design context, here are a few ideas to consider...
-Illustrative mapping of body language- the do's and don'ts.
-A linguistics guide- how you should speak to avoid being caught lying.
-A general book on the key tips to avoid being caught lying.
-A guide to the most common lies and excuses- how not to be stereotypical.
We must focus on tone of voice and an audience- I believe that we will have an infographics product- with a light-hearted or entertaining edge- we hope to encourage people to tell believable lies, but not ones that would go out to purposefully hurt others.
I will present these to other group members through online messaging tonight to gauge their responses and thoughts- and how we can then go on to develop our ideas and outcomes.
