In Design Workshop Briefing.

The Brief

You have been given a subject matter (a fellow classmate) and you are required to produce a visually considered double page spread based upon them.

The content for the double page spread will be gathered from an interview with the subject matter and information they have posted about themselves on their blog.

The article must have a minimium of 300 words and contain two images (but don't comprimise the layout for extras!).

Considerations

THINK VISUALLY.

Explore layout/type/image/colour and how they relate to each other.

What tone will the article take and who will the audience be? How will this visually effect your design(s)?

Legibility is to be considered carefully.

(Look at magazine layouts and interviews for research)

Practical Considerations

Explore a range of visual outcomes before working digitally.

Background

One of the problems with software is that everyone has access to it, but not everyone knows how to use it creatively. Adobe InDesign is primarily used for the generation of compelling print layout and breaking down the barriers between online and offline publishing. The possibilities of which can be used as a springboard for further visual research.

Mandatory Requirements

All work should be supported by a broad range of visual investigation in the form of design sheets and notebooks.
