After Effects Tutorial Workshop II.


Useful morning session from today's session with Lorraine- notes.

 - Name layers in AI (within an AE composition makes it a lot more workable).
- Can colour code timeline composition layer bars- click check box next to # in tool bar.
- Make sure that ALL files are 72dpi when placing into AE- save a 300 dpi version for print/portfolio.
- To render:  Render settings- Output to specific file- Output module- Format options- H.264 (check audio and turn on here for full render).
- Check render settings each time (files to save as).
- Drag, drop and burn this rendered format for our DVDs for hand in.
- Can render out a specific part of the composition (change the length of the bar for the composition): Render settings- time span- work area only (In best settings).

NOTE TO SELF
IDENT PLANS:

Start screen ('The slide', 'The dive', etc- 1.5 seconds)
Middle/motion- 7 seconds
End screen (title, details, etc- 1.5 seconds)
