Image//Type as Image//Brainstorming.



Brainstorm sheets and ideas (which are written in my sketchbook, which will be handed in alongside my final outcomes at the end of the module) for the idea generation and design development for the three designs within the type as image brief. From each of the brainstorm sheets I have written down design ideas, along with the research I now have to carry out to inspire more design development, as well as visually backing my concepts:

"BRASS RUBBING"

IDEAS (THE IDEA HIGHLIGHTED IN BOLD IS THE ONE WHICH I WILL LARGELY PURSUE) 

- Screen printed gold type on white cloth (research cloth/material types)
- Hand-rendered gold on black (POSCA pen)- thick, bold lines
- Screen printed, bold gold typeface on black A1 card
- Paper cut (vinyl) black card with gold sheet underlay

- Hand-rendered, delicate weight of line/stroke gold/silver on white card
- Vinyl cut script on gold/silver sheet of metal
- Quill and ink calligraphy (...or fountain pen!)- silver on white/black A1 card
