Notes and feedback from the concept crit today, working with (the group I will continue to work with in feedback and crit session until the end of the module programme):
Kirsty Alderson
Baljeet Samra
Claudia Griffin
Sam Edwards
Ben McKenna
Written below, are my notes from the session (personal) as well as scanned feedback sheets from each of the other group members in reflection to the presentation of my concept design boards (see previous post).
I found the session really helpful, and, as a result, have completely turned around my concept for my outcomes (well, ish...) which I will go on to publish in a separate blog post.
CONSIDERATIONS
- Possible use of colour to add more variation and interest.
CONSIDERATIONS
- Perhaps target parents more?
- Target schools for audience
CONSIDERATIONS
- Define and consider age range in greater detail
CONSIDERATIONS
- NONE!
CONSIDERATIONS
- Is laser cutting appropriate for the target market? Interactive enough?
- Make the target market more specified- laser cut is too delicate for 5 year olds?
- Needs to be more accesible, schools, libraries, etc?
- Consider colour
- Find stock samples
- Make sure designs are unique
//
PROBLEMS
- Illustrative style of Grimm's Fairy Tales are quite dated, not many contemporary versions available.
- Need to create something CLASSIC that will stand the test of time.

TO DO
- Consider use of colour (suiting my target audience)
