Inspired and prompted by notes that tutor Lorraine left on my work yesterday (see the slip cover for the proposed audio CD, above), I decided to go through my mock up copy of my book printed out yesterday to proofread, looking for typographical and editorial errors and details. Although I would, of course, go through designs before print on screen, I've never actively proofread print before, but I found it really useful. Lots of details such as leading, single word lines and grammatical errors that I'm sure both I am spell check would have missed on InDesign, I'm certain that this will really help me to produce a much cleaner and professional design outcome.
