As part of my new concept for the promotional '200 books for 200 schools' campaign, I concieved the idea to propose that a new book be introduced for each of the educational months at school to the children aged 9-11 (Years 5 & 6). Although I will only be producing the designs for the first month of the academic year, September, the The Grimm's Fairy Tales (where my project originally started), I will propose the rest.
I put out a quick survey to find out which children's classic books are most popular, and formed them into a monthly ciriculum basis (see bottom of the post)- trying to form a relevant structure to the time of year, The Secret Garden to be read at the start of Spring, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory at Easter, just to make the stories feel even more relevant and engaging.
