Design Practice III//Feedback Session.

This morning, we were scheduled to have a self-sign-up feedback and crit session, our last opportunity to show our work and gauge some feedback before the final crit next week (and an imminent module submission shortly afterwards).

Unfortunately, TEN out of the twenty people didn't turn up... Fred later went on to describe it as "unacceptable" in an email, which is very true, but fortunately the few of us that were there has the foresight to arrange a crit between us, and still gain the valuable feedback.

Written below are my questions for specific feedback asked, and the feedback given respectively.

QUESTIONS

1. Do you think that the Jessie Leong sample pack would work on a bulky newsprint stock (So as not to expose the paper weave when folding)?
2. For the YCN/UK Greetings brief- which wrapping paper looks better- all white type, or gradient opacity?

FEEDBACK

1. Could maybe have the contact details on the inside about the business card, or just a logo or a little hello statement from Jessie (sample pack).
2. Unsure about the success of the use of bulky newsprint as everything is so in keeping. Really like the range! Good exploration of appropriate outcomes for Jessie Leong- like the smaller details, stamp.
3. Prefer the ones with varying letter tones- easier to read. Looking sexy! Stylish and contemporary (YCN/UK Greetings).
4. PHOTO BRANDING- WINNING. I would put a stop to this and focus on other briefs.
5. UK GREETINGS- GRADIENTS, easier to read and looks more eye-catching.
6. SAMPLE PACK- Does it have to say sample pack? Maybe play around with the logo on the front?
7. Why you so sexy?
8. All very lovely.

9. * Lots of spelling checks from my good friend and top editor, Kirsty Hardingham (too many to list... will post updated versions of documents asap!)
