Design Practice II//YCN/Graze//QR Codes.

This afternoon, I spent some time generating the QR code to be proposed to be directed to the Graze working lunch page on the Graze website (though, for now, we have directed it to our Facebook page) which would work as a live link to more information about the Graze working lunch campaign, as well as a direct link to purchase Graze boxes in the "traditional" fashion (as opposed to from a vending machine, or from a Graze train station vendor stall, as we are proposing for the advertisement/promotional campaign).
To tie in with our current and existing designs, I traced the downloaded image (above) so that we could alter colours to match our design and branding colour scheme, if necessary. From my research I have found that black and white is used, as it is with standard barcode systems because the contrast between the monochrome picks up the best "signal"- however, it would definitely be worth trying out with the brown and orange colour palette shades on our own designs to see how effectively this would work with a smart phone QR code scanner.
