Design Practice III//Hand Rendered Logos.

Over the weekend, I started working on creating a series of hand rendered logos to ensure I kept up with my traditional methods of visual communication and hand rendered illustration.
For the briefs selected, I had a new challenge in terms of the majority of the branding/logo design being specified as typographically- lead, which was something a little alien to me, but I'm really keen to develop and learn more about. Written below, a short evaluation/view of each of the logos, and the direction I hope to follow, and will be shown in future posts on my Design Practice blog.

UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS BALLET SOCIETY

- Liking a possible Art Deco contemporary style, something to potentially pursue?
- Uppercase
- Smaller pt size for 'University of Leeds', makes the society name more apparent/in focus
- Contemporary, clean, sans serif
- Try + kerning, looks more modern

JESSIE LEONG PHOTOGRAPHY

- Uppercase, clean, modern, fashion
- Full name: Jessie Leong Photography
- Bold, eye catching, high-end

ORANGE JUICE

- Black/Bold, uppercase
- Slight 1980's retro feel/influence, yet still contemporary

FREEBEES

- Script and contemporary sans serif type combined
- One logo that can be translated over a range of products
