Communication is a virus: Group meeting.

We met up at lunchtime today to talk about further developments, and our plans of development to present at the progress tutorial with tutor Jo tomorrow.

We agreed that we were all happy with the development of the posters we have made so far- pleased and surprised by many of the responses we have/had received, though perhaps wern't sure were it would develop to.

After a chat we considered our options. From talking quite naturally, an idea sparked (a great redemption of abscenece, as it was promoted by group member Michael). We had originally said "what a shame that the project isn't in april for april fool's day!" (undoubtedly the ~national day of lying~ in the year!)- though we realised that we could extend this brief beyond the presentation deadline- producing all of our print/web-based media.... ideas quickly developed...
-Promotional material for April 1st (April Fool's Day)- series of lies, fibs, etc.
-FACTS AND STATISTICS make a lie seem more genuine and formal- therefore, believable.
-Research the history of April Fool's Day (to be found on my design context blog)
-Entertain- lying ourselves? Or persuade- convincing others to "lie" along with us, an event.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOP...

-origins of april fool's day- manipulate and change- an april fool about april fools!
-"june fools"- silly ideas- "april fools was once in june, but it didn't quite have the same ring to it" etc.
-factual leaflets/posters/hand outs- make the joke seem very believable and convincing.

More research and development to be found on my design context and design practice blogs respectively.
