Design Practice III//Orange Juice Brand Development.

The initial developments of the proposed branding for the hypothetical 2013 reunion tour of 1980's band, 'Orange Juice'.
Throughout their heyday, no real branding was given to the band, with their band name applied in various different typographic guises throughout their record sleeve and album art throughout the years, with an inconsistency, but always a "cut and paste" style of the 80's Graphic Design era.
Inspired by two images I had previously sourced, from a band t-shirt worn by lead singer Edwyn and a cover sleeve (see images below), I decided to go in the direction of using a bold, serif uppercase typeface, and decided on Bebas/Bebas Neue for the general brand logo and promotional/brand type used, as applied to the ticket design for experimentation purposes in the PDF document above.

Over the next couple of days I intend to work on shredding, ripping and general experimentation along with the general design and editorial layout of my work in order to start producing merchandise and promotional items to move with pace along with the brief and project outcomes as soon as possible.
