Design Practice II//YCN/Graze//Logo and colour palette development.

Yesterday, Charlie sent me over some logo generation ideas for the new Graze redesign (which can be seen on the first page of the PDF). We decided to stick to using the typeface Quicksand (which we had used in the presentation boards) as we felt that it wasn't too far removed from the existing Graze logo (which the company noted they were fond of) in terms of sans serif letterforms and the lowercase type, but certainly more contemporary, rounded- and, as a result, we feel far "friendlier" in it's visual communication- something we feel the company is proud of, and, ultimately, the image that they are trying to promote.

From Charlie's designs, I then went on to develop my own response to this- looking at how we could create icons for twitter, and online digital media, etc- and how the colour palette (the one I didn't really think worked as well, but Charlie is adamant does... I took the compromise) would work with the type and icon designs (of which I hope to develop more asap for more design variation and possible outcomes). Slowly but very surely getting there, need to blast some more work out.
