Today I started doing some practice doodles in my Image module sketchbook to "prep myself" for one of my design outcomes- creating the type as image design for the pulled quote, 'It has nothing to do with the number of birds'- trying to get back into the swing of hand-rendering (something that I unfortunately don't seem to find much time to do nowadays) and playing around with different weights of line and textures. Really enjoyed the half an hour drawing session, and looking forward to getting stuck into more elaborate designs as the basis for my typeface- images of which will be blogged as and when they are produced.
